Another Malifaux Monday, and this time I got to play Brendan and his freshly painted Marcus-led crew! This was also my first time using my almost-but-not-quite-completely-done Nightmares, with creepy-fog effect!

Malifaux Monday! Dreamer vs Mei Feng

I sure do love Malifaux Monday! We had a great turnout at Gamer's Gambit as more and more folks are recognizing what a great game Malifaux is. We had six people playing Malifaux, two guys playing 40k but only because the Malifaux stuff they'd ordered isn't in yet, and two Malifaux players doing Relic Knights because it's the new shiny. A great crowd and fun times!

Malifaux...experiences with Dreamer

I'm certainly no Malifaux expert...if you stumbled on this post hoping to find a winning strategy, know that I've played about a dozen games total in 3 weeks of being a Malifaux player...please view anything read here thru that lens!

That being said, though, I've pondered the use of the Dreamer quite a bit, and have some thoughts and experiences that I want to share...more for my own benefit than anything else!

Beginning Malifaux!

I've recently started going to Gamer's Gambit in Danbury, and am loving it!! There are some great guys playing 40k there on Thursdays, Matt has an awesome Warmachine Hordes group going on Tuesdays, and my kids play Pokemon Card Game on Sundays...giving me time for more miniature gaming!!

All that, and it is literally 7 minutes from my house!

A few weeks ago I learned they were having a Malifaux night on Mondays. Everyone I know that's tried Malifaux has loved it, and I really love the aesthetic of the models I'd looked at, so thought I'd give it a try.

And I'm hooked!!!

First 7e Tourney! Battle for Salvation May 31st!

I have been playing a few 7e games on Vassal, got together a Daemon list I'm happy with, and went off to play in a small tournament at the Battle for Salvation gaming club in White Plains, NY. What army did I take? What things were popular at the tournament? Will 7e work for competitive play?
